        ^ Retro Mode:- Some older web pages, not written for newer standards, are distorted, have features that don’t work, don’t display at all, or even crash other browsers. The Legend of all media players VLC will be coming with only one default skin which we all know and VLC player supports almost all types of audio and video formats which are not accessible by other players. In-spite of the having these great features it has some bugs like it will crash always when we played so unsupported files and keeps on asking to connect the support team which is a bit frustrating. 



So coming to the looks of VLC recently the VLC team has uploaded some skins in there official website to download and get a good visual experience. The skins are really cool to see and even responding well when installed in the latest VLC edition The 
most important thing is that the player is free and open source and also simple to use with extendable with powerful features.
And the team has uploaded around 115 skins which are really awesome to look and all you have to do is to download the skins and copy them all to C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\skins and select the relevant skin by opening the player in real time in windows.

Hewlett Packard launches Compaq dc7800

Yet another addition to the aleady good line of desktop computers offered by HP in the Indian market. This time it is the first ever Desktop PC with a SSD Drive.

The Compaq dc7800 also comes with a stamp of approval from the EPEAT Gold registry for passing all the strict environmental requirements to make it environment-friendly.

The desktop PC is aimed for business users with a good design which fits the CPU on the back of the monitor (see photo).

The cost will be around Rs. 40,000 and it starts selling on the first of next month.

Windows7 SP1 arrives

Today marks an important milestone for Windows 7: it's the arrival of the operating system's first service pack since its release in late-2009.

Service Pack 1 (SP1) was released to manufacturing earlier this month, with the announcement that it would arrive in consumer hands this week. The software is set to hit Windows Update later today, with it already being posted as a 1.95GB download bundle for all versions on Microsoft's Download Center. TechNet subscribers and Microsoft volume license customers got access to the update last week.






The service pack itself does not bring any new whiz-bang features for consumers, but brings two important back end additions that promise to improve performance in Windows 7's server counterpart, Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. The update adds :-1).Dynamic Memory as well as 2).RemoteFX.

This Two technologies that increase the density of virtual machines, as well as the graphical prowess of thin-client hardware respectively (more on those here).
 The RemoteFX feature is also coming to the consumer version of Windows 7 in the form of client-side support.
Also included in SP1 are a number of fixes for bugs and security holes, which may be useful for those who do not use the auto-update feature, or are applying the update to machines that do not have an active Internet connection. Other small changes include improved HDMI audio device performance, a fix for printing mixed-orientation XPS documents, and "improved support" for Advanced Format storage devices.

Google Talk keyboard shortcuts and tricks

  •  Change the font size – While holding the control key, move the scroll wheel on your mouse either up or down. This trick works while being focused in either the read or write area.


  •  Insert line breaks - If you want to have a message that spans multiple paragraphs, just hold shift and hit enter. You can add as many new lines as you want to create.


  •  Bold Text – To write something bold, you can use an asterisk before and after the word, like *this* .


  •  Italic Text – To use italics, use an underscore before an after the word, like _this_ .


  •  Switch windows – Hitting tab will cycle through open windows. It will select minimized conversations, to expand them just hit enter. If you just want to cycle through IM’s and don’t care about the buddy list, control-tab will do that and will automatically expand a minimized conversation if you settle on one.


  •  Invitation Tips – You don’t need to say Yes or No when someone wants to add you as a friend; you can simply ignore it, the request will go away. (On the other hand, someone with whom you chat often will automatically turn to be your friend, unless you disable this in the options)
